Rindge Historical Society Building Re-investigation

Saturday, November 3^rd

Conditions: 40 degrees, clear

We arrived at 8pm.  We were joined by CC Carole and Her husband Bobby Webb.  Ronnie and Wally set up the new DVR system and cameras as Tim gave CC and Bobby a tour of the building.  CC, Tim and Audra all got the feeling that we weren’t alone.  Once the cameras were all set up we started our investigation.  

Tim, Alissa and Audra started upstairs in the first office on the right.  As Tim and Audra entered, they felt that the air in that room was very heavy and hot.  Alissa was taking pictures as Tim and Audra did some dowsing with the pendulum and dowsing rods.  There was a definite presence that identified herself as Hazel.  When she stopped answering questions Tim and Audra experienced a cold breeze pass by them.  This same room had activity all evening.  When Bobby checked the temperature in that room, the heaters registered at seventy degrees, the same in all the offices, but that one felt hotter than the others.

As this activity was going on upstairs, Wally, CC, Bobby and Ronnie were investigating downstairs.  As they were walking through door into the front right room, the door closed on Ronnie.  The other three made it through without any problem.  That particular door had a stop wedged under it and scraped the floor loudly, so it was very surprising when the door closed easily on Ronnie.  The door moved a few times and was caught on film.

At one point everyone was in the kitchen and Ronnie ran up into the attic by himself to change the camera angle and as he came out of the attic he heard a noise behind him.  When the group went upstairs to see what it was, there was a pinecone laying on the floor that hadn’t been there before.

As we were walking around upstairs, Wally and Bobby walked into the children’s room as Wally entered he heard a noise and turned to see the cradle in the corner rocking by itself.  Bobby and CC were entering the room and saw this. Ronnie was able to get the cradle rocking on film. 

After CC and Bobby called it a night and left, the guys went upstairs.  As they were crossing the room with the chandelier, they heard the light switch flick on and off and saw the light flash.  They proceeded back into the office that had been so oppressive earlier and experienced the same heat.  As they were leaving the room, several of the books on the shelf in the hall fell onto the floor.

As the guys were back upstairs, Alissa and Audra heard what sounded like a door latch being jiggled.  This happened several times and Audra checked each time to find that there was nobody near the door.
